Il terzo modello della VAZ fu progettato da Fiat nel 1969 ed è una vera berlina italiana di lusso di fascia media, probabilmente la più bella di tutti i modelli della VAZ. Dopo il suo lancio divenne un successo immediato sia in Oriente che in Occidente, e anche se in Occidente ottenne questo risultato con un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo, in Oriente poté diventare solo il sogno momentaneo della classe media socialista. La produzione iniziò alla fine del 1972 con una nuova trasmissione e un nuovo motore. La fabbrica raggiunse la milionesima vettura nel dicembre del 1973, che era naturalmente uno dei modelli di punta, una 2103.
L’auto è arrivata al suo attuale proprietario in Ungheria direttamente da Vilnius, in Lituania. Il suo primo proprietario era un cantante d’opera.
La macchina costruita nel 1979, è stata restaurata a Vilnius nel 2008. L’attuale proprietario l’ha acquistata 5 anni fa. Ha dovuto eseguire solo alcuni interventi sulla protezione del telaio, sul vano motore e renderla un po’ piú bella.

The design of the third model of VAZ was prepared in 1969 by Fiat and it turned out to be a full-blooded Italian luxury medium sedan, arguably the most beautiful of all VAZ models. When introduced to the markets it became an instant hit both East and West, although on the West it succeeded with kit great value for money ratio on the west it just became the instant dream of the socialist middle class. Production started late 1972 with a new drive train along with a new engine introduced. The factory reached its 1 millionth car at 1973 December which was of course one of the flagship models, a 2103
The car came to its current owner from Vilnius, Lithuania. Its first owner was an opera singer.
Built in 1979, it was renovated in 2008 in Vilnius. The current owner bought it 5 years ago. He only had to deal with the chassis protection and the engine compartment and make the car look nicer.
Lada 2103
A VAZ harmadik modelljének dizájnját 1969-ben készítette el a Fiat, mely egy vérbeli olasz középkategóriás luxus szedánt jelent, mely vitathatatlanul a legszebb az összes VAZ modell közül. Piacra kerülése után azonnali sláger lett keleten és nyugaton egyaránt, bár nyugaton remek ár-érték aránnyal sikerült ezt elérni, keleten csak a szocialista középosztály pillanatnyi álma válhatott belőle. A gyártás 1972 végén kezdődött egy új hajtáslánccal és egy új motorral. A gyár 1973 decemberében érte el az egymilliomodik autóját, amely természetesen az egyik zászlóshajó modell volt, egy 2103-as.
Az autó egyenesen Litvániából, Vilniusból került jelenlegi tulajdonosához Magyarországa. Első tulajdonosa egy operaénekes volt.
1979 es gyártású 2008-ban lett felújítva Vilniusban. Jelenlegi tulajdonosa 5 évvel ezelőtt vásárolta meg. Neki már csak az alvázvédelemmel és a motortérrel kellett foglalkoznia, illetve csinosítani az autót.
